While I'm all for formulating a philosophy, the problem with folds is
that there are so many of them. Addressing the problem in general
doesn't come close to ending with "left fold with premature
termination." What's really needed is an infrastructure for defining
new kinds of folds. I'm personally a big fan of SRFI 42 when it comes
to that.
