The way the code is written, though, "trace-transformer" is a runtime binding
in "tracers" and uses the runtime language of "tracers", which is imported
into FOO for run, yet "trace-region" uses "trace-transfomer" at compile-time.
The fact that one can make it work somehow does not make it any less confused.
I am happy to have an implementation that will point these things out for me.
