Would it make sense to imagine an exercise in which students
are asked to extend the meta-circular interpreter with support
for library features?

Working out what the answer to such an exercise is and what
might or might not be learned by doing it would also respond
to some of what Brian Harvey has been saying on comp.lang.scheme.
