[r6rs-discuss] things that suck

What should the editors do if the choice is between talking
ever so slightly (but, not easily fixed) over-the-heads of a
heck of a lot of extremely talented yet slightly junior
people in the Scheme community, and, instead, trying to
let those others (the talented majority who an older generation
is very proud to have contributed to) lead the direction of
the standard while trying to prevent any disaster?

And, how can one even begin to characterize the risks of
either path?

Ugh. The externalities suck, since they dominate the
survival potential of Scheme without much sensitivity to
these concerns. And to think ... basically, it's all just
applied math.
