You appear to insinuate that my list of proposed alternatives
is inconsistent with itself -- that I am changing my tune by
"clearing things up" rather than elaborating various alternatives
and reasons for them. You are mistaken and, again, insulting
(for insult's sake).

My tentative impression is that you want to narrate this exchange
as some kind of high drama involving hidden motives,
subterfuges, exposures, embarrassments, and so forth. Consistent
with that, your comment above seems to me purely and simply
a baseless, gratuitous ad hominem.

Quite simply, putting soap operas aside:

The R6 process has, in my opinion, yielded valuable
discussion and words on paper. The hardest work is
behind the community and is largely thanks to the sweat
of the editors and major contributors.

In my opinion (for reasons elaborated) if the end result
is ratification of the draft (or anything close to it) then
that outcome will subtract substantially from the value
of the work done so far. We can better honor this work
by treating it in some other way than fighting over its
ratification as a revised report.

There are numerous ways to point that out including
showing a plausible radically different strawman for
R6, suggesting the community turn its back on the R6
process, suggesting the editors turn their back on the R6
process, suggesting that we all try to morph the R6 process
into a SRFI process, etc.

We are free people both individually and collectively.
We are not locked into a ratification thumbs-up-or-down
just because that is what we first aimed for.
We can simply *use* these materials as best we can,
agreeing to set aside the questions of naming things
that set us apart.
Humpty Dumpty (per Carroll) and all that.

Grab a board and start SRFIng. Rejoin the mainfold
of the community.
