Hi Tom,
Usually, I am heartily in agreement with your posts on this list.
However, in this case, I find myself disagreeing with you. Perhaps the
political system is broken, perhaps it is not. However, now is not the
time to make changes to it. There was a period of review of the
political system and its rules, and any objections should have been
raised then. Dissenters are no more marginalized now than they were
then. At this point, things must continue in the manner in which we
have all agreed they should, whether or not some of us have now changed
our minds regarding that agreement. It is too late in the game to
change the rules now.
