[r6rs-discuss] Confusion over |p

I hope that ratification fails but that the above
observation is not lost in the noise.
I would be in favor of an exception to the SRFI
process that allowed instant finalization of the
draft as a SRFI -- it has certainly been discussed
enough in the R6 process (though I also would have no
objection to SRFIzing the normal way, with the
community understanding that the authors intend
to make no changes before finalization -- same
difference).
Every actual bit of productive work that needs
to be done to enable realization of the benefit of the draft has
been done. It was good work, well worth recording
as an official document. But time spent contending
over the title "revised work" is at best time wasted and
at worst time spent counter-productively, especially
if that work ends in ratification.
Honors are honors -- not theories of how honors
should be allocated. The status of draft in actual
reality is, already, the same empirical question it
will ever be.
